The state is struggling with today’s poor economy, but the current practice of using gimmicks and accounting shifts to deal with its long-term budget shortfall is putting Minnesota’s economy at stake and charging away our children’s future. We must do better. I will work to break down the political barriers that have hindered good decision-making and reach out to others to find the best way to correct the problems affecting the state.
